Question for you! How long have you had that landi Question for you! How long have you had that landing page, lead magnet design or promotion graphics on your to-do list?

As a busy business owner trying to wear all the hats, it's so common to be thinking of #allthethings, and yet feel overwhelmed to the point of getting nothing actually done.

Decision fatigue is real!

Because our minds are always going in a million different directions, it’s hard to sit down and focus on that “thing” that you’ve had on your list forever. You might find yourself tinkering with it here and there, just trying to get it to a place of “good enough” but you’re never truly happy with it or proud of it. Even with the Canva templates!

After spending the past 7 years helping online business owners with their graphic design & branding, I saw a need for those who just needed their tasks done yesterday!

And that was the catalyst that sparked my desire to create a Design Day offer!

Ditch the DIY Design Days are for the entrepreneur who is working around family life (usually only having an hour or 2 here and there) or a busy schedule and business owners DIYing their marketing and branding assets who have a to-do list a mile long, and need the easy button for not only getting their marketing done & brand assets created, but getting it done FAST and FABULOUSLY!

If you’re ready to get that list down FAST + FABULOUSLY then we need to chat!

Send me a DM, and let’s get this conversation started.

How Lauren completed her Squarespace website and h How Lauren completed her Squarespace website and hit publish in 24hrs!

Lauren booked in a Ditch the DIY Design Day as she was feeling frustrated trying to complete her Squarespace Website. She was found it challenging to make it look cohesive and pretty which was holding her up in her marketing efforts.

The design day process allowed Lauren to relax and feel supporting knowing that her brand was in good hands. She shared with me that it eliminated so much mucking around that she could get herself out into the world.

Lauren wanted to feel 100% confident and excited hitting publish at the end of the day - and I’m pleased to say she did!

The day involved redesigning and refining what had already been started in Squarespace. Lauren had worked with a copywriter and I applied her visual brand around the copy to highlight important information and give Lauren an insight into how to style other pages that she may add at a later stage eg sales pages for offers.

I asked Lauren who she would recommend this service to and she said:

“People who have been sitting on a project for ages feeling stumped or trapped by wanting itI to look a certain way or unsure of how to do something. this process can Just GET IT DONE already so you can enjoy your biz and feel free “

Lauren LOVED knowing that someone was working on her biz while she was picking up the kids in the arvo!

If you share some of the same frustrations as Lauren and want some support with your Squarespace website, DM me today!

If you are a non-designer choosing to DIY your gra If you are a non-designer choosing to DIY your graphic design for your branding or marketing, here are some invaluable tips to consider. This is a 2-part post.

Part Two:

6. Typography matters: The right font can significantly impact the overall look of your brand and can also affect readability. Choose fonts wisely, what is your font saying about your brand?

7. Invest in Good Imagery: Invest in high-quality images if you can, as poor-quality images can make your brand appear unprofessional. Pixelated images, clip art from 90's, images that don't relate to the content are examples of what to consider and look out for.

8. Design for Your Audience: Remember you are not designing for yourself, but for your target audience. The design elements you choose are to appeal to your potential customers. As is the output. If you are creating a pdf workbook, can it be accessed and completed digitally if your audience wants to save paper?

9. Accessibility: Are your designs accessible to everyone in your audience? Example: Have you made considerations for colour blindness? Especially if you have differentiated information with colour. Providing alternative text for images is another example to consider.

10. Feedback is Important: Seek feedback on your designs *from the people the design is for* Sometimes an outsider's perspective can spot issues they may have missed. Be specific, the question isn't first about if it looks good, but if the design communicates the message you want it to.

If you are a non-designer choosing to DIY your gra If you are a non-designer choosing to DIY your graphic design for your branding or marketing, here are 10 invaluable tips to consider when you are DIYing your graphic design. This is a 2-part post.

Part One:

1. Understand your brand: Design is a communication tool first and foremost. Get clear on what your brand is communicating with your brand's mission, values, and target audience.

Every design decision is to support and reflect these core aspects.

2. Consistency is Key: Maintain consistency across all design elements including logos, colour schemes, typography, imagery, etc. Extend this across all platforms, from your website and social media to your physical marketing materials.

Developing a brand style guide will support you with this.

3. Simple is better: Simplicity in design often leads to better understanding and recall. Avoid over-complicating your designs with too many elements or excessive detail, especially if you don't have a basic understanding of design fundamentals (see #5)

4. Colour psychology: Different colours evoke different emotions and can significantly impact a brand's perception.

Get curious what your brand colours are saying about your brand. Can you communicate your brand essence with a colour that is more suited?

5. Know the basics: Take some time and learn a basic understanding of essential design principles like balance, hierarchy, contrast, repetition, proximity, and white space.

Develop an awareness of what good design is and isn't.

Stay tuned for Part Two!

Have you been sitting on a project for ages feelin Have you been sitting on a project for ages feeling stumped or trapped by wanting it to look a certain way or unsure of how to do something?

Do you wish you could just GET IT DONE already so you can enjoy your biz and feel free? You're not alone in these feelings, and when it comes to designing a website and knowing where to put things, how would you know? You're not a designer 💚

You're genius is in helping people to heal, to live, to be vulnerable, to grow...

Lauren decided to go ahead with a Ditch the DIY day because she was feeling frustrated trying to complete her website. She was annoyed that she couldn’t seem to make it look cohesive and pretty, and she was ready to allow someone to take the reigns and get it done. Lauren felt safe and comfortable handing to me, because we had collaborated in creating her brand identity and I knew it intimately - She has said that she feels I almost know it better than her!

After the day Lauren said: "I feel SO happy and relieved that I handed it to you, it helped me feel excited about launching it again instead of frustrated and not 100% with it. I felt like I’d invested so much into creating the brand that without your creative touch and flailing around myself, just wouldn’t do it justice.

I wanted to feel 100% confident and excited hitting publish - and I did!"

Lauren is now confident in share her online home (website) with people and is I’m putting herself forward for speaking gigs, facilitating workshops/women’s circles and more.

If you'd want this for yourself and your business too, DM me! I look forward to connecting with you.
